Established in 1981, Atwood Cable is a family owned and operated cable system located in Atwood, Kansas. Beginning with a 330 Mhz system offering eleven basic and one premium channel. Through the years more channels have been added to the basic line-up, as well as digital services. In addition, services of the National Emergency Alert System, local advertising and weather have also been developed to better alert local citizens. We have served our local community proudly, for 38 years. In 2005, dramatic upgrades and improvements were made. Now operating a newly rebuilt 2–way system with a bandwidth of 870 Mhz, expanding our basic line-up to 58 basic and 2 premium pay analog channels. At that time Atwood Cable was able to offer High Speed Broadband Internet services with pricing and quality installation that is hard to beat. We are pleased to be the best locally owned and operated internet service provider in Atwood. An additional service was added in November of 2007 to the Atwood Cable System’s services, Voice Xpress. It is a state of the art Voice Over Internet Protocol (VoIP), an alternative to traditional voice telephone service that is less costly than conventional phone service. The service includes unlimited local and long distance calling as well as many features that traditional phone companies charge for. In February of 2014 Atwood Cable overhauled and updated the internet service system. Allowing us to drastically increase customer service speeds over a larger and faster network.
